Achievements
MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS |
 The Foundation has many achievements to its credit. Owing to the donations received since its creation, the Foundation has been able to contribute to:
- Funding the purchase of specialized equipment for home care services and residential clients:
* Snoezelen equipment used to stimulate patients with mental disabilities
* Dynamic pressure relief mattresses for live-at-home patients to prevent or treat bed sores
* Portable patient lift
* Small equipment for home health care
- Improving access to vacation camps for handicapped children and children from disadvantaged backgrounds
- The implementation of family respite services
- Funding part of the cost of adapted transportation for residential clients to provide them access to outside activities
- Providing partial funding for recreational care facilities
- Providing funding for the creation of a protected therapeutic garden for clients with mental disabilities
- Providing funding for facilities in the CLSC cancer care clinic which offers outpatient nursing services
- The establishment in 2003 of the Georges Adam assistance fund to aid the disadvantaged, thanks to the generosity of Georges Adam. Since its creation, the fund has helped more than seventy five individuals and families in need, and has provided funding for specialized equipment.
